The beautiful entry feature on Sumter Blvd just west of exit 33 on 1-75 combines sculpture-and water to welcome residents and visitors to North Port.
- The "town center" of North Port is fast becoming the intersection of Sumter Blvd and Price Blvd. This intersection has been widened and a city traffic signal has been installed to accommodate the current and anticipated traffic.
- The modern fire station and community center as well as the site of the future North Port City Hail and U.S. Post Office are located on the 33 acre city owned site just northeast of the Sumter / Price intersection.
- The first commercial shopping center within the residential area of North Port is now under construction on the southwest corner of the Sumter/ Price intersection. This center will feature a Public Supermarket and contain a number of local businesses, all of which will be convenient to the rapidly growing North Port population.
- Heron Creek Golf and Country Club is located on the west side of Sumter Blvd, a short distance south of Price Blvd. The variation of the terrain on this course is unique to this part of Florida and offers a challenge to both members and the public to whom the course is open.
- Sabal Trace Golf and Country Club is located on Greenwood Avenue between Sumter Blvd and North Port Blvd. This challenging 18 hole course and club facilities are open to the public.
- The North Port High School and Performing Arts Center on Price Blvd is nearing completion. This massive modern facility has already become a major North Port landmark and is further fueling the area's rapid growth.
- The Glenallen Elementrary School is at Price Blvd and Glenallen Blvd. and is within walking distance of the High School being built.
- Bobcat Country Club: This 18-hole semi-private championship golf course is located on the east side of Toledo Blade Blvd south of Price Blvd.
