and challenging rolling hills offers something for all skill levels.
El Diablo Golf Course voted best new golf course in America by
Golf Digest in 1999.
Rainbow Springs Golf & Country Club and Citrus Hills Golf & County
Club are just down the road.
Fishing, Boating, Swimming:
Lake Adriane in Citrus Springs flows to the Withlacoochee River, sporting
some of the best bass fishing in Florida.
Did you know that Citrus County is known as the “Bass Capital of the World”,
with the largest bass caught weighing 15lbs 4 oz.
Many other rivers, lakes, and springs dot the countryside, including the
Crystal River, the Homosassa River, King’s Bay, and the Rainbow River. The Gulf
of Mexico, located 20 miles from Citrus Springs, is great for pleasure boating,
jet skiing and saltwater fishing.
Walking, Jogging, Biking:
The Withlacoochee State trail starts at Citrus Springs. The 46-mile trail
stretches from northern Citrus County at Citrus Springs to Dade city in Pasco
County. Residents can walk, jog, or ride a bike on its paved path.
Horseshoes, shuffleboard, softball, baseball, basketball, tennis, and a
myriad of activities can be done at one of many Citrus County Parks.
